New Jersey State Police are cracking down on speeding around the state following an uptick in aggressive driving and traffic fatalities.
Fines for speeding will more than triple. A violation will increase from $44 to $173starting on Aug. 15. It is part of a new no-tolerance anti-speeding campaign.
There will be 50 state troopers on duty at all times during the 30-day speed crackdown. There will also be 30 new and unmarked police cruisers.
Here’s a list of the roads they’re concentrating on. Be careful they may be pulling people over for as little as 5mph over. That’s just a money grab IMO. They’re being told to write a ticket every 10 to 20 minutes.
