Song: If there is anything I can do here in Alamo, let me know, OK?

All of y'all will be in my prayers.

It's hot as hell here, though, at 90 degrees. I just wish we'd all get some much-needed moisture.

I heard they are going to evacuate Timberon. This was from the sherriff's dept. Now hope they don't have to, but Song & Pipeweld and a few others have a place to stay.

Hi, my mom lives on Chresta Loma and just told me there is an evacuation order. She is packing up now. I own the house next door to her.

Ok, from what I understand they are evacuating Timberon at this time.
They have ALOT of resources in route from the flats. They don't call up resources from the mountain departments, even if they are closer, as this leaves the mountain area with out man power and equipment.
I will post more if and when I hear it.

Ok i just got off the phone with my folks on Arapho, Evac orders have been issued starting at Cibola Dr, for San Juan Dr, Carson Dr, Homwood Dr, Dixwood Dr, the fire is following a line from Maywood dr down through Homewood dr towards the golf course in timberon. By their count they have at least six planes in the air, tons of resources coming in. Power is off (they are running on a gas generator for now) phone lines are down unless its VoIP.

They are not having people from Arapho going the other way towards Coconin dr apache dr etc evac at this time.

Mtncat keep the updates coming, i appreciate it. If I hear more I will post more as well.

From what I am told draw a line from Maywood Dr and Dixwood dr where they intersect to the golf course and thats how it is going.

Godspeed to all those up there.

Thought I would post this for people that do know the streets up there:

Google Maps

When it pops up put in: maywood dr, timberon new mexico

this is the approximate area the fire started in, you can zoon out and to the right see the golf course, and see the area that is being affected.

Again Timberon is under "Partial Evacuations" however ALL power and telephone lines have been shut down due to fire fighter saftey and resident saftey. My folks are as close as you can be with out being evacuated if I hear from them again, I will post an update. It will be a long night.

My mom said the fire started on Maywood Drive by the water tower. I found this link: www.KOB.com - Forest fire burning out of control in SE NM (http://www.kob.com/article/stories/S918326.shtml?cat=519 - broken link)

If this is accurate it seems like they should be able to get it under control - 30 acres is not that big and according to weather.com winds are only 8mph. The golf course is also a good fire break.

Praying with you all now :-)

Sorry, I meant, my mom said Norwood Dr, not Maywood Dr.
