Conflicting stories.. on homes that were lost. Just talked to themiria's mom and she is so confused on the stories that were going around. I can understand that one! Until tomorrow hits when its light and youcan see what is there and not you really don't know. But Spud's house is gone.. hope he and Nan got out OK.

This group is the wonderful, we care about our friends and family!

I have heard Cloudcroft, but not sure where Ranger Road is. Not all are evacuated.

My mom said that the evacuations don't seem to be mandatory. She went home and is waiting to hear more.

thank you, that helps answer a question or two as we are still worried about our friend. I will try to keep an eye and ear open and I appreciate the input. Everyone is in our prayers!

Mom said that 3 or 4 houses have burned. The fire is contained - the slurry planes are done. They are continuing to battle the fire on the ground.

I'm not hearing much at this time. Most radio traffic is on tactical channels once units are on scene (no repeaters on these channels) so you have to be within a few miles to pick up anything.
It has been awhile since they dispatched any other resources though so that is a good sign I think.

I just talked with the communications at the fire station in Timberon. It was a very brief conversation as the phones were ringing. 8 fire crews are there and seem to have the fire surrounded, did not find out if evacuations are continueing. Our house on Homewood is OK so far.
So sorry to hear about Spud's house. All are in our prayers. It is a terrifying time.
