If they lower the speed limits even more it will slow down traffic entering and exiting manhattan which will reduce the amount of tolls collected. I really don't feel like driving in manhattan at all because it's too congested and there's nothing much I need to do.

Other than restaurants, office visits, there's nothing left to do. Eventually these restaurants will get so expensive that it's not worth going in.

Dinner - $250
Congestion toll - $15
Parking Ticket- $115

That could be the kind of night just for a simple dinner.
They don’t care. All they care is that a study showed that there will be an X% increase in speeding violation camera tickets which will generate more revenue for the city.

The city and politicians don’t even pretend anymore that this is about safety.

This proposal coincidentally came about when the city is having budget issues. Just a coincidence.

Anyone continuing to live in NYC must be a masochist.

There's a big world out there without these government imposed hassles and rackets.

In other words people will drive the same speeds but now the tickets might be larger in some cases.

Gotta close those budget gaps.
