These democrats are just simply looking for anything to make it into a crime. Assume you and I bought a property to rent out. If there was missing shingle on the roof. They would send an inspector and then he/she would say that building isn't safe to live because it's missing a shingle. Even after you fixed the shingle they are still hitting you with a violation because it's consider an unsafe living condition based on their insinuation that it's an unsafe place that is a violation. But upon deciding what kind of violation they are putting you through the highest courts just for a simple violation.

That is the example we have here that mirrors this case. It's a witchhunt.

The danger of this sort of toxic politic warfare is that nothing will get done and everything is about dems vs GOP and we are having major problems with our government being completely irresponsible with protection of the borders and taking care of our own people's problems than worrying about Ukraine or Israel.

And I thought is was 34 counts of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree, a violation of NY State law. Silly me.

That's brutal.

Like some poster stated... at least he only harmed himself, unlike some loser who shoots up innocent ppl for their "statement".

What's sad is the some ppl here seem to think it's funny and use it as a political hooray.

Feel sorry for his family and friends.

May he RIP.
Not funny. It is tragic, and a waste of a life. He was a misguided nutcase. It is sad he couldn't find a purpose for his life.

LOL at the posters who think this is a reason to move venue or declare a mistrial. This event had nothing to do with the Trump trial, save the arguments about the merits of the charges for a Trump trial thread. He just chose that place because he knew there would be cameras. His position apparently is anti-government. He is neither pro or anti-Trump.

It seems this is targeted. Anybody who doesn't like Trump nor cares knows this is just a targeted hit. What do you think the punishment should be compared to other men and women who have done this. I think Stormy Daniels should be prosecuted because most prostitutes like her who is a adult film start gets paid having sex with random men. So how is it any different here?
Hilarious. He didn't "pay Stormy for sex." He paid her later on - "Daniels was paid the $130,000 shortly before the 2016 election in return for keeping publicly silent about the alleged encounter." But as someone else said, what he's charged with is falsifying business records to cover it up.

And who cares if women charge for sex? Who's paying for it LOL... and are they being forced into it. Aww... poor guys...

WTS, women are arrested for selling sex wayyyy more times then men are arrested for buying it.

As for Maxwell Azzarello who burned himself, yes he has since died. I'm sorry his mental illness took him.

While I don't think this is a reason to change venue or declare a mistrial (there are other reasons to support a venue change from my book), I don't get the extent that some are going to in order to disassociate this guy from being anti-Trump. The very sign he held up before setting himself on fire was anti-Trump. That it was also anti-Biden doesn't change that point. Note, news of this guy's social media makes clear which side of the political aisle he was on, too, and it wasn't the right. Specifically, he preached being a proponent of "unity" among the left and described himself as an anarcho-communist. Seems like he had a problem with politicians of all stripes who aren't as anarcho-communist or leftist as him.

"Business records" that are allegedly directed to the payment of Stormy Daniels, don't overlook that. They're not related to cheating anyone out of money, or overspending on copy paper, or extra desks, or thousands of pens and pencils........

We will learn what 'business records' entail when the evidence the State intends to introduce at this trial is proffered.

This is not a matter of he said, she said. The documentation is going to make or break this case.

"Falsifying business records" is a NY state misdemeanor, and the Statute of Limitations has expired.

Trump is charged with a NY state felony. The felony is "Falsifying business records in order to conceal another crime".

I don't follow the case closely enough to know what the other crime is. If it's a federal election statute, the Feds have already declined to prosecute it. How can there be another crime if he hasn't even been charged with it, let alone convicted? I'd really like someone to explain Bragg's case, if possible.
