Climate change is going to effect everyone regardless of what your politics are. Some parts of the planet are already reaching the upper limits of human survivability just in terms of temperature alone. Last year, the PNW of all places had temperaturs so unprecedented, sea life was literally cooking on the beaches. And that's not even going into any related natural disasters, water and power scarcity, etc. You don't want to support Dems because you're worried climate action may affect your quality of life, but the thing is, your quality of life is already very much on the line if we do nothing. This is not an existential threat for future generations. It's here now, and it's getting worse faster than anyone's really predicted. No doubt you think this is all fearmongering, but just because it's scary doesn't make it any less true.
Pregnancies usually involve a choice to be involved in sexual intercourse. With the exception of rape which statistically makes up 1% or less of all abortions, the people having intercourse made a choice. Those who were forced to get vaccinated due to their jobs or government mandate didn't get to make the choice as to what side effects (short or long term) they may have experienced because of the vaccine they injected into their bodies (and there are many who have experienced side effects, some with very debilitating side effects). Regardless, both issues involve governmental control over one's body. That's the point I was trying to make. You give the government an inch and they'll often take a mile (whether you realize it or not).

The climate change thing is it's own debate that can happen outside of this thread. I've seen documented evidence of higher and lower temps in various geographical areas from decades past that would rival the temperatures we're seeing today. I think it's being brought to light now for socio-political leverage more than just "for the sake of preserving humanity".
