It's not really green. Here are some landscape photos of the actual area. It is mostly sage and Ponderosa Pine which is a desert tree. Don't be mislead by real estate photos that may have been taken at the greenest time of year or may not actually be of a specific lot.

Not that different from the area around say Sedona Arizona which actually gets MORE rainfall than Klamath Falls estates (about 20 inches/year)

Or the area around Prescott Arizona which gets about 16 inches of rain/year

Thanks for the pictures. Looks pretty to me. If there are few more people living there would make nice off-grid place. I won’t live full-time on Tableland, but wouldn’t mind having a seasonal cabin on it. I would haul water or dig a small pond to collect water.

BTW I don’t buy the stories of bad crimes in this thread or others. It appears to be just random incidents. If weed is legit business in Oregon then weed growers are no different from corn growers. Based on this site the residents in this neighborhood are really low income. That could be an issue.

SMH. FAFO, I guess.

Here's a starting point — the weed that's grown legally in Oregon has to remain in Oregon at the retail level.

There's plenty of weed being grown illegally for distribution elsewhere.

There's also plenty of very antisocial types living in areas like KFalls Forest Estates.

I don't like to live in forest. I like to live on open land with dry weather. I like sparse trees on my lot but I don't like to live in forest. I don't mind 20ish snowy winter either. I like snow. Not sure about the meaning of antisocial, but I don't need friendly neighbors. Friendly neighbors are good to have but as long as people leave me alone I am happy. I really like the landscape of Tableland. It appears that Oregon Pines or Tableland lots are more attractive to me than KFE or KFFE. Just unsure about the neighbors.

Did a lot of research on this area myself:
Fires and water=big problems.
With the tribes pushing removal of the dams and some already removed, the water table is going to continue to drop and leave more people with no water in many areas. I contacted a couple well drillers and they've been having to punch peoples wells deeper, some considerably deeper. As they do this, others adjacent go dry. Some new properties have had to go deep 1000'+, and only end up getting barely passible gallons per minute from their wells.
As the pic above illustrates it's beautiful, but it's so dry those trees are just a huge tinder box during the summer and fall.

Do you mean haul water from the river? You are not allowed to do that. https://www.oregon.gov/owrd/programs...20or%20streams.

I don't mean DIY. What I meant is there got to be a business with right to get water and haul to the plateau for a price, which shouldn't be too excessive.
