It's looking more and more like the 2010 season will go uncapped and who knows how many more seasons that will last. Am I the only one worried about the NFL turning into baseball, where only about 6 or 7 teams have a realistic shot at winning it all every year?

That would be crap. I think the Packers have the smallest market in pro sports and there is no way they could compete with guys like Jerry Jones or Dan Snyder. The NFL is making tons of money, the players are WELL paid, yet they are getting greedy and this could hurt the sport. Why are they screwing something up that is working so well right now?

Default No salary Cap 2010 for the NFL

I have some great news guys. The NFL will probably not have a salary cap for the 2010 season. If you had to bet your money on any team. Who would you put your money on to win the super bowl in 2010.

Dallas Cowboys

Washington Redskins

Okland Raiders

San Francisco 49ers

Green Bay Packers

Pittisburgh Steelers

Its a good year to play for the NFL lol.

I think the Giants will win but out of those I'd pick the Cowboys .

I don't understand your list. Dallas, and Washington, yes, but the others make no sense.

No salary cap benefits the richest teams in the biggest markets. So Dallas, Washington, NY Giants, NY Jets, Chicago Bears would be the biggest beneficiaries. Maybe SF too.

Green Bay would probably be hurt the most. Pittsburgh and Oakland would also be hurt.

That list is full of the old heavy weights or simply the historic teams in the NFL. Before a salary cap was put on these teams dominated the NFL.

I actually do think the salary structure in the NFL is broken but I do not think no salary cap is the answer. Yes NFL players are well paid in a general sense but if you compare it to the NBA and the MLB then they are grossly underpaid for what they give to the game.

How the hell is it great news? We want to see the Cowboys turn into the Yankees and pay 200 million for players every year? Stupid.

I'd like to see a cap-less NFL. I dont have a dog in the hunt, since I don't really care for NFL football.

You are clueless if you think 1960's and 1970's NFL economics are even close to today's NFL economics. You are also clueless if you think Green Bay has always been a dominant team. After Bart Starr and before Brett Favre, Green Bay was an NFL outpost, who had to sell shares to the community so they would not be forced from Green Bay. Hell, until the mid-90's, they didn't even play all of their home games in Green Bay. In fact, between 1968 and 1991, when there was not a salary cap BTW, Green Bay had a total of 5 winning seasons and two playoff appearences; winning only one playoff game. Green Bay would become the Pittsburgh Pirates of the NFL if the salary cap dissappeared.
