March 22 is an interesting date as Governor McCauliffe will be back from his Middle East trip?
March 15 the Governor will be in Botetourt for an economic announcement at Greenfield, I assume its for either an
automotive business or Ballast Point, of course TOP SECRET!!!

...been watching for a Deschutes decision out here in Oregon, too I'd enjoyed a couple new-to-me tasty amber pints at a funky little burger joint in downtown Roanoke that felt just fine. So keep those craft beers comin! But Deschutes seems far beyond the ‘craft brew’ stage ... I’m hoping they locate a production & distribution ‘plant’ in Roanoke for the jobs, additional availability of their products, and the continued success of their company… They be Oregonians

And I still think Roanoke’s poised for something good. Not sure about the in’s & out’s of their local economic development team or the state leadership (yet), but only hope it works for them. Such a unique, magnificent, historic and strategic location … and a great time to get in on it’s future (Deschutes)

Default Here comes Deschutes!

Here ya go: Deschutes Brewery opening East Coast operation in Roanoke | Local News - WDBJ7.com Central and Southwest VA

WoW Good for Deschutes! - and good for Roanoke!! ...gee, it just struck me.. Politics may have played a part… Oregon’s plenty blue, and those other locations were more like pink.. Whatever

I was in an Oregon coastal store last weekend and held off purchasing a 6pack of Black Butte Porter, with the thought that I’d wait to celebrate when they located in Roanoke. Now I’ll grab an Obsidian Stout, too

A two-part opinion page piece gives a fascinating look at the many efforts that were made over a long period of time to land Deschutes... I wish some people from my last town in Texas could think about this... even the slide in the remodeled library children's section was part of what got their attention...

OUR VIEW, HOW WE WON DESCHUTES (Roanoke Times)
