Also a good idea! I'm liking it!

Well, there're plenty of water-holes in SW Roanoke County as well if going to have a drink for some is on the agenda...

I'm a huge fan of Mill Mountain Coffee and their new downtown location.

The other option is the Daily Grind on Electric. There may be more room for sit downs with a half dozen or more people at the DG. Annie Moore's Pub is just across the parking lot. Free parking.

And there are the magic words: free parking.

(at least for me!)

We have free parking at the Daily Grind on Electric and then Mill Mountain Coffee & Tea on Starkey Rd. Have we narrowed our list to two already? How big is that Mill Mountain store? (I'd hate to just go in and take over a small place). Other ideas?

The Daily Grind has a room off to the side that could easily fit our little group. Dunno if you have to pay for it, but you probably have to reserve it.

Let me be everyone's secretary for a minute.

Time: a weekend afternoon like Saturday or a week day evening. Probably day time would be a bit easier for people. But personally I'm open to early evening as well.

Location: it looks like quite a few of us like Daily Grind on 419, and Mill Mountain Coffee & Tea on starky road is cozy as well (back up?).

And perhaps Erin or I could bring some labels to the gathering, so that one can put on his/her nickname
on it for easy recognition. Hopefully it would be interesting.

Hi all,

Just wanted to say I haven't forgotten this thread. Might be March before I get my act in gear for this, between 2 out-of-town trips in February and other stuff in between (including a nagging cold!)

Okay by me. February is insane. We're in the middle of figuring out a transition plan to convert from country to city mice, and if you know where we live and what we have, you get the idea.
