I have a picture of myself drinking a Plaza brand grape soda from a can as a kid in the 80's.
Was Plaza the prior name of the Hill County Fair soda brand?

Can’t think of any H-E-B brands that I actually use. I’ll go national on everything if I can. Even tortilla chips. Tostitos are far superior to those broken chip bags from H-E-B

I don't buy HEB brand chips myself but will have to say that Tostitos (IMHO) aren't much better.

For flavored chips, I stick with Doritos and plain corn chips will only buy El Milagro brand (the thick kind).

I usually steer clear of H-E-B products. With that said, Wolf Brand chili has over the years gotten watered down. I tried the H-E-B brand and now highly recommend it. I also use Organics lactose free milk.

I am not one for store brands, BTDT, as I do notice the quality of the taste isn't good, IMO. However, I only buy HEB brand microwave popcorn, the Natural flavor. I can eat it straight out of the bag, it has a wonderful salted "popcorn" taste, but I usually add my own, in moderation, REAL butter to it. It has gotten extremely hard to find now, however, being replaced with more of the flavors that are artificial and not good for one's health. By this I mean the "butter", yea, right, flavor, or the theatre flavor (what's the difference?), or the kettle corn, again with the fake "butter" glaze, etc. All the ingredients and flavors that add weight gain and unhealthy food stuffs to the person when consumed.

I don't like the "organic" Natural flavor individual bags that are now being forced on me by HEB. Definitely don't taste the same as the original "Natural" flavor that came in the normal sized bags. But I buy it and add my own butter, and it satisfies my craving for popcorn.

There are lots of H-E-B brand products my family enjoys. Their corn chips taste better than Frito's! Their aged cheddar is pretty tasty, and their bread and buns are as good, or better, than most national brands. Concur with WilGar about their chili, not too bad at all for a canned chili. Normally use it for chili dogs. Tried some of their chocolate chip cookies, and they were so good, I didn't buy any more. It's a vice. If there are chocolate chip cookies available, I will eat them.

There are several national name items that I buy... got pushed out this year, replaced with a similar H-E-B product that is just not the same. I don't know if it is inferior quality or I just got used to taste of the non H-E-B brand.

This forces me to buy the discontinued items from Sprouts, Amazon Fresh, etc. Can't be good for HEB if many others are doing the same as me.

I don't buy H-E-B brand potato chips. They used to mess with my health.

I like the H-E-B Mac and Cheese in a box. Better than the big brands.

I see someone said they don't like their hashbrowns, but I think they are 100 percent better than the McDonald's hashbrowns.
