Synopsis, well come on up!!!! If you have any questions about what is nice to see, I'll try to help out just like the friendly OK folks helped us find nice places to see.

The saloon is actually a pretty cool place and I don't even drink. LOL They have peanut shells on the floor so it's a bit rustic, but that's intentional. We used to go there for karaoke (sp?) after work on Wed. nights. A lot of the western Saloons are rustic like that, too along with the Deadwood casinos.

When you're ready for your So. Dak. trip, be sure to let us know and we'll find a spot where we can all get together and chat.

Default Corn Palace

I went back to So. Dak for a family reunion and stopped at the Corn Palace.
This was the first time my daughter saw it.

Hopefully this will come through and you can see it. It was shot out in Spearfish Canyon during the bike rally this year. Which by the way, the numbers are out and attendance was up.

Haha! Wow Jammie! That was quite a JUMP!
Were Sturgis numbers really up this year?! I went almost every night and it seemed to be a lot more dead than it usually is. It's good to hear that though!

I think more people might have come this year because there were so many big names playing at the Buffalo Chip and Full Throttle this year.

I just hit a deer the other day too! Not as much fun as that video...

Oh no Danny, sorry to hear you hit a deer. I always feel bad for the driver AND the poor deer. It seems that eastern Wyo. has SO many of them~many more then over here.

The numbers surprised me, too. The weekend the interstate sounded busy, but generally they're roaring all week long. I don't have the link for you cause I didn't read it online, but it's in the Daily Republic. I think it's in the Wed. or Thurs. edition.

Do you have them uploaded to photobucket? If so, just click on the postcard at the top of your post that you've opened and it will give you directions. I think you have to click on the last choice~IMG~in order for them to upload on to here. Give it a try and if you have problems, we'll help you.
