Did anyone else nearly have a heart attack from the phone alert from the state DMV we just got?(no road travel except for emergencies) I thought it was my furnace making that weird noise and really panicked. It's not so bad here in the far SE of the state - just regular snow. Best wishes to the rest of you contending with blizzard conditions and ice.

My cell phone was sitting right by my desk and yeah, it startled me. I thought it was an Amber Alert at first.

Damn little of it where I'm at. Just enough where some of it trickled down the gutter by the curb.

We got a little yesterday evening and some more this morning. About half my grass has turned green again. I am hoping with some more rain tomorrow and the cooler weather this weekend for it all to turn back green so I can mow and level it back out.

Do you have Bluegrass, or possibly fescue? Even though you get pretty hot in the summer, I wouldn't think tropical grasses (Bermuda, zoysia) would survive your winters.
