You've all probably had basically the same article in your local paper, but it was just so touching that I wanted to share it with you. In our local paper they had a pic of one of our fallen soldiers from Alexandria. He was a friend of my husband. They talked about how patriotism was still alive and well in the midwest and discussed how many of our fallen soldiers were from small towns. Vermont is number one for the most soldiers lost per capita and So. Dak. is number two. It's so sad, but it says a lot for the people of those two states. They also said that it was mainly midwestern states that made the top ten list. It seems we're so often at the bottom of lists, but unfortunately we're near the top on this one.

Oh I agree totally. I'm still proud of the way our state always has people volunteer when needed.

yes,they are great people since they are loyal and patriotic.Despite the war itself is not a good choice.
