Henry is right... these people have 3 day warnings!! THREE DAYS!! There shouldnt be any deaths associated with Tornados because there's always warning time. People walk around like robots not knowing whats coming. Come on people... tell who you know about this.
If it doesnt happen, at least you were prepared and you can thank the Lord for getting lucky.

Let's hope the situation doesn't get too far out of hand. With the strongest tornadoes, getting below ground level is the only certain safe place. Most people hope getting in a small room or hall will be safe enough. I heard putting on a helmet during a tornado warning is a good idea.
Tornadoes need heat. Thankfully, one thing about this threatening period that isn't too unusual is that temperatures in much of the area are not expected to rise out of the 70s.
the nws storm prediction center has issued a
tornado watch for portions of
eastern colorado
western kansas
southwest nebraska
effective this thursday afternoon and evening from 1250 pm until
800 pm mdt.
tornadoes...hail to 3 inches in diameter...thunderstorm wind
gusts to 70 mph...and dangerous lightning are possible in these
areas.
the tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute
miles east and west of a line from 50 miles northwest of imperial
nebraska to 45 miles east southeast of lamar colorado. For a
complete depiction of the watch see the associated watch outline
update (wous64 kwns wou7).
Looks like the worst here should be Saturday night and Sunday. Unfortunately I'll be working on Saturday, but we always have our weather radio turned on at work, so when the watches and warnings are issued, we should hear about it. The weather channel is already giving a 60%-70% chance of TORNADOES within 50 miles for cities in South Central Kansas and North Central Oklahoma for Saturday, with North Central Kansas having a 50% chance of a TORNADO within 50 miles. However, those numbers could always go up. Our local news station said that no only is there the chance of tornadoes, but many of the tornadoes could be significantly strong. Stay safe everyone!!
I spent many years in Hillrose Co just south of Sterling, lost count of the number of days this type of weather messed uo my playtime
EDIT looks like it is clearing up and moving NW *for now
Sounds like California might be getting some hail ect.
