I'm guessing it will be a near average year. I think most tornado activity during the winter and early spring will be in the Southeastern U.S., and the Midwest becoming more active later.

There have already been 29 tornado reports on January 3-4 across Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia.

NOAA says we are in uncharted territory for LACK OF severe weather. This after a record low Tornado year last year

Storm Prediction Center WCM Page

"We are in uncharted territory with respect to lack of severe weather", said Greg Carbin, SPC's warning coordination meteorologist. "This has never happened in the record of SPC watches dating back to 1970."

As of 25th, March has hosted NO tornadoes. New record. Season is running 85% below norm!! That's about to change!

Well, I'm sure this wasn't your intent, but I wouldn't get all excited about it.

Here's the thing. I think tornados are amazing. I hope to see one some day. At the same time, rooting for a bunch of tornados is essentially looking forward to having death and destruction visited upon some innocent soul somewhere.

No, can't stand severe weather. Prefer we had snowstorm every week. Sick and tired of seeing images of damage and deaths because of Tornadoes.

On that note... Happening now

Scariest thing to see on radar is a debris ball. That means you are staring at the radar picking up debris in the air. Horrible. Moore, OK might be getting hit now. Sirens all over the area going off.

Skies are pitch black like its midnight and sun hasn't set yet! Radar showing 75moh winds and large hail. Ground reports of tornado
