People saying that have or haven't seen anything.. Is good evidence, but not perfect. After all, noone has ever 'seen' a black hole, but we know they exist from other evidence.
Lots of people have 'seen' Bigfoot.. That doesn't mean it exists. After all, there's no evidence other than mostly whack-a-doos that claim to have seen it. Does that mean it doesn't exist? Most likely.

My, circumstantial, evidence is that he hasn't been found or heard from in 35 years.
You don't have to have a body to convict someone of murder. So, just because there's no body in this case doesn't mean he's alive.
I mean, we can argue that Amelia Earhart is still alive. Yeah, she'd be 120, but..
What's your theory on him being alive? That he's been tied up the past 35 years in someone's basement? That whoever kidnapped him released him after.. What? Maybe 10 years, but gave him papers with a false identity and told him if he ever said who he really was that they'd kill him and that's kept him scared? He's forgotten who he was? He was a teen when he disappeared. Not likely.
It's POSSIBLE for someone to hit the powerball jackpot three times in a row. But it's never happened and the odds against it are astronomical.
We'll see Anthony Godby Johnson alive before we see Gosch alive again.

She's said pictures found in Florida were of him. She's said he called her. She's said he was abducted by a child porn ring, she's said (I didn't hear this one, but) that the father did it..
She said that the picture was of her son and that he was even wearing the same sweatpants that he was wearing the morning that he disappeared. An officer in Florida said that he could have sworn that he had seen that picture before and investigated it but the picture was never found by the Florida police. Won't argue that part could have happened. I find it less likely than the 'loner' theory, because.. It's difficult for one person to keep a secret. It gets exponentially more difficult the more people are involved. So, that's the only reason that I tend to think it's not some mass organized conspiracy.
That photo... I'll have to read up on that again, but.. As I recall, that has been fully vetted and investigated. Not him. Am I thinking of the right photo? The one of a boy and girl in the back of what looks to be a van bound and gagged? Now.. Let's say that the pictures were left on her step as she says.. Outside of keeping the case front and center, I see no reason for her to lie about that, so, I think she's honest that was done.. Holy crap, whoever left those pictures is one of the worst humans to ever exist. Send them to the police, send them to the newspapers.. Don't leave them on the mothers front porch.
The whole Jeff Gannon thing.. So.. For anyone who buys into that one.. let me make sure I have it right.. Johnny is too scared to surface.. However, he has no problem being a White House press pool reporter? If this wound up being true, he'd be even worse than the person above because he intentionally kept his mother wondering.
The sweatpants.. Now, everything I see is that he was wearing a pair of black sweatpants on the day he went missing.. We're not even talking anything special there like it being Iowa Black and Gold or having another sports logo on them.. Black sweats.. How many pairs of black sweatpants are in the world?
Ah.. You're right.. Him and a friend visited for about an hour and said he'd probably never come back.. I just immediately jump to being suspicious of that. Kinda want to see her medication at the time. IF it was Johnny.. Why wouldn't she keep him there, especially after he said he wouldn't come back? Call the police as soon as he leaves. Get the tag number of the car he's in. Something. If it actually happened, and wasn't a medication induced hallucination.. Whoever showed up there.. Is a totally worthless human being. Without question if it was someone pretending to be Johnny, and i'd be tempted to say that even if it was Johnny.
