I think of a ''soul'' as like electricity that lights up a light bulb.
Our soul ''lights up'' or animates our body. If you've watched a loved one human, or pet, die then you've experienced the moment when the ''electricity''/soul goes out of the body. They are still, quiet, and no longer ''them''.
So we cannot see electicity and we cannot see a soul, but they are there somewhere. When they find a conduit, then we can see them. Electricity lights a lamp, powers a radio. A soul comes through a radio, TV, EMF meter, phone or concentration of energy seen as a ''ghost''.
It all makes sense to me.
Matter cannot be created or destroyed. It goes somewhere. Sometimes visible/audible. Sometimes not.

The current thinking on that "essence" you're calling a soul, is that it's consciousness. Consciousness leaves the body, and sometimes returns, as in Near-Death Experiences. I'm not aware of any science that says Consciousness has electrical properties, though. But that's a curious thing; when Consciousness does return to the body, the body is newly-electrified, which is what enables life to resume. That would be a good line of inquiry to pursue.
I like more to think of it as a mystery to embrace.
I used ''electricity'' as a metaphor only here. Maybe it is electrical, maybe not. But ''it'' acts somewhat like electricity in my example. ''Soul'', ''life force'', ''spirit'', ''essence''...
I am glad I found this thread, as I have always wanted to share a strange experience. I have occasionally received phone calls from this person who called herself Sydney. She said she was abducted by aliens for the purpose of making hybrid human-alien babies for them. Sydney said they killed her after she successfully gave birth to two beautiful hybrid babies. She wants me to tell the world what happened to her. I thought I would start here.

is there a way you can block calls from unlisted numbers? if you try that, you can verify that this is something paranormal.

I know this is not normal. There are crackling and popping sounds around me that only occur when the spirit of Sydney calls. Besides, my phone was thoroughly checked and approved by Area 51 UFO Council.
