Yup. I forecasted myself to get 4-6" so I didn't make the low end of that. The coast underperformed.

Its So tough forecasting coastal areas because there are so many variables. Water temp, where the coastal front sets up, precip rates, winds, snow ratios, ect.

I used to live and work on LI - lived and worked in Nassau County but most of my co workers were in Suffolk...got to work one morning, we'd had a dusting of snow - get to the office and no one was there. I was like....did I miss a meeting somewhere??? People finally started coming in, they'd gotten a big snowstorm in Suffolk.

ANother time when I was working in Massapequa I left the office one afternoon. The driver side of my car facing north was encased in ice. The passenger side facing south was just wet.

I could go on and on but you live up there - you get it!
