Address: 700 Northeast Fourth Ave.

Description: You can take a peak at South Florida’s ecological system without driving all the way west. Mangrove Park is at the dead end of Northeast Fourth Street in Boynton Beach. It’s a great place for families to learn about nature together. You can take a relaxing stroll along a boardwalk, right over a natural mangrove preserve. The native trees and animals are on full display here, as are the enormous spider webs everywhere you look. You can see the Intracoastal Waterway from the end of the boardwalk. And if you come during high tide, you have an excellent chance to see manatees, Florida’s lovable “sea cows.” Even though it’s in the middle of Palm Beach County surrounded by development, Mangrove Nature Park is a little piece of South Florida the way it once was.
