Description: The Payne Stewart Golf Club is a tribute course in progress honoring local golf legend Payne Stewart. Payne Stewart Golf Club is located in one of the area’s newest development, Branson Hills, and is just minutes from the Branson Landing which offers restaurants, shopping and entertainment on lake Taneycomo. He can regrip, reshaft, refinish, or reweight your clubs. Hoot was nominated for Golf Club Maker of the Year of the Professional Club Makers Society in 1993. If your clubs are in need of professional repair, you can find Gibson’s Golfworks two sharp curves before the Holiday Hills Golf Course, one mile east of the Lake Taneycomo bridge on MO 76.

Description: Take a trail ride through history! This 30-minute ride on horses used in the action-packed drama The Shepherd of the Hills runs through the historic homestead and will take you on some of the same trails the Bald Knobbers rode. Description: Baxter is on the south side of Table Rock Lake, where it’s a little quieter and less congested. The marina sells groceries and offers wet and dry boat storage. You can rent a fishing boat for $95 for four hours or get a pontoon for $140 for four hours or $270 for eight hours. Ski boats go for $135 for four hours or $260 for eight hours. Rent a personal watercraft for $65 an hour. Owner since 1986, Sue Pollard will be glad to recommend a fishing guide if you need one. The marina is closed December through March, but they do answer the phone and pump gas if you stop by.

Description: Landlocked and not a marina, the Hitch-N-Post is still without peer as a place to load up on bait, marine fuel, camping supplies, life jackets, groceries, and anything else you might need. The shop also offers fishing-guide referral and an up-to-the-minute daily fishing report. Hitch-N-Post is across from Table Rock State Park.

Description: Located on the north side of Table Rock Lake near Silver Dollar City, Indian Point Marina is open year-round. This is the area’s “dive center” for those interested in going underwater. Those who want to just skim on top, Jet Skis rent by the hour for $65 for a three-seater. Indian Point has twenty wet storage stalls, a snack shop, and tackle and live bait.

Description: Lilleys’ is a one-stop trout angler’s dream. You can spend the night at the resort and then hook up with a fishing guide for a variety of different types of fishing adventures. Trips are on Lake Taneycomo or Table Rock with an experienced guide. Check the Web site for guest rates. If you’d like to go out on your own, they have johnboats starting at $75 for four hours, pontoons for $129 for four hours, and bass boats for four hours at $119. The marina’s specialty is selling artificial lures and flies. Their Web site is chockful with advice, tips, information, and other links.

Description: Sometimes it’s just as much fun to fish from the dock as from a boat, and Scotty’s is located right on the Taneycomo lakefront next to a large public-access fishing dock. If you’re not having much luck, you can get a fishing boat from Scotty’s for around $49 for four hours or $74 a day, a pontoon boat for $129, $199. Scotty will set you up with a fishing guide for a half or full day starting at around $135 for two people.
