Description: This two-story Federal home in the old downtown section of Huntersville at Lake Norman dates to 1895. Jerry and Rachel Ingalls completely gutted the home nine years ago, and after a year of construction, opened with three guest rooms. The B&B features a huge yard with gardens on about two-thirds of the land, and a city park with seven tennis courts and a playground sits behind the property. Rooms are large, with high ceilings and antiques, and a deep front porch is a perfect place to rock and catch the breeze. The traditional country breakfast includes eggs, potatoes, meats, breads, fruit, and pastries. Davidson College visitors, businesspeople, and locals with visiting family frequent the inn.

Description: This lakefront home, built in the 1920s, has been painstakingly restored and renovated into a blue-and-white gingerbread-trimmed Victorian with rooftop ornaments from Charlotte churches. Opened in 1997, the inn serves a full breakfast to guests in the sun room that overlooks the lake. Guests may relax and fish off the dock, take a day cruise or moonlit midnight cruise of the lake on their boat, or arrange a water arrival at local waterfront restaurants. The villa has over 2,500 feet of deck to enjoy the views of the lake. Five rooms are furnished with antiques; some even come with wet bars and sitting areas. The villa is located close to the airport and is only a short ride to Uptown attractions.

Bird-watchers and nature lovers enjoy the natural theme, as well as the character of clawfoot tubs, fresh baked goods set out for guests, and a goldfish pond on the grounds. Full breakfast includes specialty pancakes, eggs, baked fruits, quiche, and banana bread. Children age 14 and up welcome. No pets. No smoking.
