Description: Ping’s Café serves Japanese and Chinese cuisine, and it’s the only restaurant in town where you’ll find a sushi bar, let alone one with a professional sushi chef. As you enter Ping’s, the sushi bar is in the back, and booths round out the rest of the area. To the left is a large room that has numerous tables available. Ping’s has more than 30 varieties of rolls, but these aren’t the type you slather butter on. You might want to try their spicy tuna roll or the dream roll, which has smoked salmon, eel, caviar, cucumber, and seaweed salad. Lunch specials are combinations of rolls, and they’re served until 3:00 p.m. There’s also Japanese ice cream for dessert. Ping’s is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday (closed Monday).

Description: Spiritfields opened its doors in May 2005, and it serves daily year-round from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Everything on the menu is made on the premises according to owners Tami and Ed Reese, including the hand-pattied burgers. Among the specialties are Maryland seafood dishes prepared according to secret family recipes, ale-soaked and seasoned briskets of beef served up in sandwiches, and the daily “chef’s whimsy.” A full bar, specialty drinks, and wine and beer are available to complement your meal. The full menu is also available on the outside deck, Poe’s Patio, which features evening entertainment on occasion.

Description: Tommy’s has been family owned and operated and serving pizza to the community since 1973. Its location is convenient to all the sites on Steinwehr Avenue and Baltimore Street, and there is parking available on-site. Tommy’s gives you the choice of pizza, stromboli, hoagies, salads, and wings seven days a week, but you won’t find full pasta dinners here. The dining area can seat quite a few people, with both booths and tables. Delivery service is available, and there’s also a drive-through pick-up window for customers who call their order in for carryout. If you like a beer with your pizza, Tommy’s can accommodate you. They also have six-packs of beer available for takeout only.
