Description: A local favorite, Botticelli Ristorante has been packing customers in for more than a decade with its convenient downtown Rapid City location, northern Italian cuisine, and quaint atmosphere. Owner Michelle Peregrine did such a marvelous job with the bricked walls and Venetian plasters, sipping a robust Chianti, you’ll swear you’re sitting in Tuscany. The menu boasts a decidedly European flare and has remained the same since the restaurant opened. But, frequent specials, fresh seafood daily, and chef’s features add a new dimension each day. Diners find elegant selections of pastas, crème sauces, seafood and more than 100 wines in the cellar in this 122-seat establishment. Wines from all the usual suspects range from $19 to $140, and Botticelli’s also features a dozen varieties of US and imported beers. (Insider’s tip: The fettuccini a la Teresa is out of this world, but don’t dismiss the daily specials. Fish lovers should sample the salmon, opah, cioppino, or red sculton.)
