Description: A huge menu is just the beginning at this popular Chinese restaurant. The health conscious will be pleased to know that the food here is MSG free, and that special low-fat, sugar-free, and salt-free dishes are available. The regular menu includes everything from egg rolls and wonton soup to a Peking duck so elaborate it must be ordered 24 hours in advance. Although beef, pork, seafood, and vegetarian selections are offered in abundance, chicken—hot and spicy or sweet and sour—seems to be a favorite with guests. Beer and wine can accompany your meal, and cheesecake or lychee nuts (a Chinese fruit) can be your dessert. Take note of the magnificent photos in the entryway and behind the cash register, which are the work of owner Robert Wong, a native of China. We’re sure you’ll be impressed, not only by his skill as a photographer but also by the many ribbons, medals, and trophies he has won for his breathtaking images. His work has been featured in National Geographic. The prizes are on display in a cabinet in the restaurant. Smoking is prohibited at Hunan. Ample parking is provided. Hunan is open for lunch and dinner.
