Cold holding units checked Ok and recorded within regulation. All food properly stored. No raw over ready to eat foods. No chemicals stored next to food.Back warehouse observed clean and organized. Trash area free of loose debris.Dairy dates current.Ecolab services facility monthly for pest control. Employee restroom and public restrooms observed clean and properly stocked with liquid soap and sanitary disposeable towels. All food prepared on site is date marked.Discussed with operator "Costo admittance of service animals." At time of inspection a small dog was observed inside a shopping cart on a blanket on the pull out child seat of metal shopping cart. Costco will implement a tagging system to ensure carts are being properly cleaned after any animal has been in a shopping cart. This will fulfill health regulation requirements and exception rule for Coscto regarding service animals being in shopping carts.Discussed with operator CDS Club demonstration services vendor that is housed and operates under the roof of Costco. This business prepares; cooks; reheats and samples food sold at Costco grocery store. This business is separate from Costco and is not permitted by the health authority and currently is under the assumption that the food handling operations is under the grocery store permit of Costco. Person in charge will investigate and follow up with Costco Corporate if CDS should be permitted separately or continue to be under Grocery permit of Costco Wholesale with Washoe County.
