No violations noted at time of inspection. Thank you.This childcare center is conducting food teaching projects. There is only one Certified Food Protection Manager on site.Facility has not had employee(s) take and fail one of the recognized CFPM exams in the past year. No other employee's at center is scheduled to take course within the year or 2016 year.Observed employee handle ready to eat goldfish crackers with gloved hands. Please review with all staff to wash hands at handsink prior to putting on clean gloves when handling ready to eat foods.Snack menu consists of cut fruits and vegetables and non-potentialy hazardous foods.Dairy dates current on milk and one door NSF refer noted < 41 F. All lunches provided by parents and properly labeled with child's name inside cold holding unit. Handsink properly stocked and handwashing sign posted as required.No chemicals stored next to food. Disposable servingware used. Reviewed with director no bare hand contact to ready to eat foods.

On 07/24/15 at12:27 PM; Sani Hut delivered a portable handwashing sink capable of providing hot and cold running water in kitchen of childcare center.Health inspector reviewed with operator to use this handsink for handwashing only. All grey water shall be properly disposed into a grey water holding tank that will be serviced by Sani Hut. Do not pour grey water into port of potty. Childcare kitchen shall limit its snack menu to prepared non potentially hazardous foods such as chips; crackers; pretzels; cookies; etc until water under mechanical pressure is restored to the facility. Do not cut any fruits or vegetables. Discontinue any cooking and food teaching activities until notice to resume normal operations is given by area health inspector Kim Tran Franchi. Please contact health inspector once main sewer line is repaired and hot and cold running water is restored to facility. This must be corrected by 07/31/15.A reinspection is required.

Jet Drain started repair on Monday; July 27th and finished with the sewer repair on Tuesday; May 28th at 8:30 AM. Facility has water available back to both main and secondary buildings of childcare. 2 compartment sink and handsink in kitchen observed fully functional. Hot and cold running water available. Handsink properly stocked with liquid soap and sanitary disposable towels. Cold holding one door NSF refer noted at 38 F. All food properly stored. Dairy dates current on milk. Both restrooms in main childcare building fully operational and both hot and cold running water. Hot water checked OK and within regulations. Reviewed with operator critical 5 point violations of the Washoe County Food Establishment Regulations. Please report any loss of water service or sewege issues with the Health District that would warrant immediate corrective action. A copy of the new regulations that were passed on June 15; 2015 are available on-line at www.washoecounty.us/health. Reviewed with food protection manager "No bare hand contact to ready to eat foods." Fruits and vegetables may be washed with bare hands. This is new regulation is a no bare hand contact policy not a glove use policy. No violations observed at time of inspection. OK to resume normal operations in childcare kithchen

260) Facility must have hot water.Center has the water turned off to the building due to a sewer line break to facility. Center does not have any hot or cold potable water under pressure coming into the childcare center. A portable handsink is to be delivered by Sani Hut midmorning to facility. Please serve only non-perishable snacks in disposable serving ware to children until portable handsink is delivered. Do wash hands properly and wear gloves prior to serving any non-perishable snack.

Chemicals properly stored and labeled. Kitchen has a separate handsink from 2 compartment sink. All sinks in kitchen drain indirectly to a floor sink. Refrigerator is NSF; thermometer present.Center is operating under the scope of its health permit. Center may start cooking and teaching activities with children at center. Do create a food safety plan for cooking activities that will be conducted on site. Kristina Lyons has taken Serv Safe course on-line and took exam with John Roberts. Please provide health inspector with Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) number and expiration date by 10/22/14. Call health inspector once Washoe County CFPM has been acquired. John Roberts has taken Kristina's picture for Washoe County CFPM certificate.

Snack menu consists of crackers; cut vegetables and fruit; string cheese; fruit cups; juice pouches and milk. Dairy dates current.Food properly stored.Handsink properly stocked. Center may not serve the following fruits and vegetables at center:1) Any type of melon2) Sliced tomatoes3) Cut leafy greens.Child care center is conducting food cooking projects and must have a Certified Food Protection Manager on site during any cooking activity. A written food safety plan shall be completed for any type of cooking project done at center. Reviewed with person in charge 3 step process for cleaning kitchen equipment. All food service equipment must go through a (1) soapy wash step (2) clear water rinse step and (3) chlorine sanitizer step. Chlorine sanitizer must be monitored to be at levels between 50-100 ppm. Plastic laundry tubs can be utilized for the 3rd step at the 2 compartment sink at center. Center has a designated and separate handsink from the 2 compartment sink in kitchen.
