I have no doubt this was intentional, at least it has generated enough interest that the FAA is looking at it.

Brian Laundrie has been located. lol

Some thoughts:

1. Good landing spot at 5:08

2. Always stay with the plane (easier to be found)

3. Make sure ELT has activated (Emergency Locator Transmitter)

4. No N-number displayed on fuselage. It should be 12" tall.

It appears he is nothing more than the howler monkey, or Scotty Kilmer, of extreme sports. This and a couple other of his videos had several views. All the rest had few views. It looks like it was a stunt. The criminal implications seem appropriate.

It will see what the investigation turns up. Hopefully he will soon be forgotten. It is the legacy he deserves.

Too many cameras catching the "incident."

Yeah, BS.

Based on landmarks at the 5:08 and 5:13 marks the crash site is about a mile southeast of Wheat Peak. The "good landing spot" is the normally dry Sisquoc River. I estimate the plane crashed into the hillside at about the exact center of this map. He would have had to bushwhack to the north, dropping down to the river bed then hiking to the west.

The airplane N number only needed to be 2" if the plane still had its paint job from prior to 1981. If the airplane is repainted after that year, yes, must be 12" or larger (FAR 45.29).

I think I have seen a picture of the rear of the aircraft with proper markings, just no desire to search for it now, and provide more clicks to his site.
