The scary thing for LA was that they got the best performance out of just about everyone. AD dropped 40. Lebron was just short of a triple double. Bench players showed up. And they were never really in the game. Not sure what else they can do.

Play defense? Jokic and Murray also had great games. They dug a deep hole early and came back to a 1 possession game near the end.
GG for game 1. One time Jokic made a shot over AD, AD just glared at Jokic. Joker is killing 'em. Triple double machine. Lakers role players stepped up. Lebron was doing his thing. AD dropped 40. Still not enough. Don't mind losing sleep watching this series.
The Lakers miss Howard 6'10" 265 and McGee 7' 270, either one would be a big help. LA dominated the Warriors and Grizzlies because AD had no one guard him and he dominated defensively. Denver has a lot of size, their front line averages 6'9". AD had a monster game and they still came up short.
132-126! So much for defense. Maybe it will show up in the next game.
There was plenty of really good defense last night, many times a tough bucket was scored with a chest and hand in the face. Austin Reaves was an exception, he was always late getting around picks and got torched.
The longer the game went on, the better the Lakers defended Jokic, so maybe they can make this a long series. But I think they need too much from Reaves and Russell and they won't get it.
