Blue Line/Red Line Connector will extend to MGH, but Bowdoin will be permanently closed.

However, the MBTA basically said this expansion will be the last westward expansion that the Blue Line could possibly go. Sad, but not expected from the State of Massachusetts at this point.

Honestly, I could care less about doing this extension right away with everything else the T ought to spend money to fix. Besides, I always put reviving the 'A' Watertown Branch and extending the Blue Line to Lynn before the Blue/Red Connector. This connector benefits people coming from Cambridge and points west for getting on the Blue Line; those of us coming from Dorchester or the South Shore would probably disembark at South Station and take the Silver Line to the airport instead. Even with transferring to the Blue Line, riding 1-2 more stops to Charles is only a little more convenient than switching to Green or Orange to Blue and not necessarily that much time saving either.

How much less could you care?

Baker was on auto-pilot for years. Checked out.

Agreed, but it would be a nice thing down the road. I am getting really worried about the T and how they can't even perform the simplest of things, without severely placing their staff, customers and contractor at risk.

Also- Watertown A Branch underground would be super convenient, but the T has taken 16 years and gone 4x over budget on the GLX, which wasn't that hard of a job to do. I'm doubtful we will see any more expansions apart from BLX in the future.
