I would speculate the addition of Taco Bell in particular isn't about the price but rather familiar cuisine. Affluent people can like Taco Bell, too...and students certainly do. It's a staple chain in a lot of college towns.

Even Taco Bell is significantly marked up in Boston, though. The location near DTX charges almost $3 for a basic taco, compared with under $2 in many locations across the US. While still cheaper than many places, it's not super cheap here either.

Taco Bell is gross..I guess if you're hungover or drunk maybe it's ok? It's not real meat or cheese. The ingredients are just bad.

I wouldn't eat at TB if the food was free, and I'm grateful I don't need to.

It's not a regular Taco Bell. The Cantina concept offers sit down service, no drive through, and most importantly - beer and wine service. Taco Bell is pretty much a suburban offering and is well known to those thousands of college kids in the area. It'll draw them in and they'll spend money on alcohol to go along with their Chalupas.

Keep in mind that it was the owner of Great Scott that decided not to reopen. The building owner was willing to continue the tenant-at-will and did ask that the club update it's sound proofing but the owner threw in the towel instead. Financially he wasn't able to keep the business going after Covid.

Youth need to cook more. Stop being lazy. They'd save a boatload of money. And maybe even learn something about themselves.

I'm not sure they've saved a boatload of money by not going to taco bell.

I'm all for cooking but I think we can agree that grabbing a taco from taco bell is cheaper than buying groceries these days.

You get what you pay for.

It's one thing if you are a college kid stumbling home from a night drinking and needing something to soak it up, but I can't for the life of me see myself going to this "Cantina". Actually sitting down and paying for drinks and table service for that garbage, I mean what the...!

me either...but when I was in college I also didn't do much cooking...maaybe once a week by the time I got to senior year and lived off campus.

If I was then going to go to a sit down place to get booze i can't imagine it would be to taco bell. Just an odd concept to me...but apparently someone saw a need for this
