Yes. According to what was being reported on TV on the evening news last night, it's been calculated that it will reach 40 million some time today.

Wow, that is amazing! Late BF said he remembered the population being 20 million.

I remember the USA being 200 million.

Visiting here for a few days, up at the lake/late bf's home. Always loved the place as much as I loved him. It was a package deal!

I swam in the cold lake yesterday and loved it. Today the smell of smoke is in the air. There's a total fire ban up here (no campfires, etc., allowed) but I think there are forest fires to the north.

Leaving for home tomorrow, but I will be back for a few weeks in August.

So excited for this! The population growth has been tremendous as of late and we're gonna reach 40 million in a few hours, only a few hundred to go!

Welcome back.

I'm sitting in my partner's mothers yard in southwest Ontario, no lake in her yard although it's massive, but we were to go to one today for a picnic, but the wind and clouds made that a no go.

I missed seeing the number turn because I was stuck in a Zoom meeting for work. Maybe when we get to 50 million I'll block out my calendar.

Now I wonder if I'll still be around when the Toronto population exceeds Los Angeles.

Probably not.
