I was excited today to see three markers on the map in Colorado - down near Trinidad. How long will it take the little buggers to get here if they use I25?

They're could already be here if they've been spotted in Trinidad - just maybe no one has reported yet.

I haven't seen or heard any yet ... but I think I'll get the feeders filled this weekend and keep my fingers crossed.

Where I live they tend to be few and far between - good luck!

Here in Branson, 50 miles SE of Trinidad, two people reported they saw hummers (maybe the same one?) on Wednesday. I'm getting my feeders juiced up tomorrow!

They're usually in Teller County (Divide, anyway) by April 25th, so I'd say any day now for the Springs...

Remember--no commercial hummingbird food mix or red dye in the homemade sugar water--not good for the eggs. 1 cup sugar/4 cups water!

FYI, some birders on forums are posting their first local sightings today. They seem to be arriving in the area now.

Otowi, are you going for a "big year" as in the movie about bird watchers? We really liked the movies.
