I bought a house 2 months ago but I get ebt, if I reported the purchase of the house will this affect my availability to keep on getting ebt benefits? Should I reported to the application ? What should I do?
Fail to report assets and see what happens. ....Gosh, food closets in every city if you can't afford to eat.

A house is an exempt asset. The question is whether her state requires her to report on a quarterly basis and/or report when certain changes occur. That said, a change in residency usually needs to be reported.
And how the money for a house came about. For example: when I was on food stamps, after 2 & 1/2 years after a car accident & losing everything, I eventually did get some compensation for the accident. Certainly not enough to buy a house, but enough to put some into investments & buy the needed tools for my disability, a walker, comfortable chair, etc. If whatever money happened after the 3 month review, you had 3 months of free food. I chose not to.
Why would anyone who could afford to buy a house choose to put the burden on the county/state to put food into your mouth. What are you thinking??
its the first of november and i signed up for cash aid last month i was approved for cash aid for november and was told since my case number ends in 3 iwould get it on the 1st of november . ihave nt got it why
When I first applied for EBT/food stamps, I was unemployed. That was very early June, 2013. I've since gotten a job, but it's not full time.
My questions are: HOW poor do I have to be to still be approved for EBT? Like what dollar amount can someone make at the most to still be considered poor enough to still be approved? If I try to continue getting EBT, I suppose if it's considered enough, I'll be non-approved, end of story. Now that I have a job, I won't be made to pay back the aid amount I got before will I?
Due to changes you can make up to $2,250 (Washington) before being cut off. However, after $1K you're basically at $32 or less per month. I personally get $16 a month. I leave the EBT card alone for a few months (I work 33+ hours a week) So after a few months there is $45-$60 in the account and I buy some cold food/sandwiches.
(Note I just got a letter from DSHS asking if I made over $2,250 monthly so that's how I know)
All I know is you must report any changes in income or your monthly expenses. They will adjust your benefit accordingly so you don't have to worry about it or do anything.
November 1st is a Sunday. It will probably be in your account on Monday.
Here in Texas it's all automated. Doesn't matter what day of the week you benefit day is it comes in on that exact date whether it's the weekend or a holiday. So if your day is the 6th you get it on the 6th just like clockwork. Nice!
I also get $16/mo in food stamps (CA), and like Disgustedman, I just let the $16 go on the card for a few months. I work, and turn in copies of my pay stubs every month for income verification, but the amount never changes, and I just certified in August.
Can EBT stop if I haven't started working yet I told my social worker I think I start June 5 and now I can't get stamps and I suppose to get them the 4th
