My friend and I used his phone to download Chipotle APP,and ordered a burrito ($10 is minimum),after $1 delivery,$2 tips,$1 for digital and another $1 for sales tax,it is over $15.
He shut off his phone when he saw the tab?
Do you think $15 is too much for a burrito?
(you dont have to go to store to pickup though)

Since this is a frugal thread, I'd say that $10 alone is a lot for a burrito. For many, going out to eat and spending $10-15 on a meal per person is a treat.

I live near a town that is predominantly spanish/latino with mostly mom&pop eateries and a local market. $10 can get me a full platter including Carne asada and all the fixins. Enough for two meals.

It's $10 for the burrito, $1 for tax, and $2 for convenience (delivery). An additional $2 for your appreciation of the service worker.

The real question is, is $10 too much for a burrito? That's more than Chipotle charges around here, but if you're in a high col area, it seems reasonable.

You are not paying $15 for a burrito, you are paying for other items. Including delivery. If you don;t want to pay that much, go pick one up.

Pay, pick up, go to the store, cook - any other options?

if I'm reading the post correctly, it wasn't really $10 for the burrito. The minimum order was $10. If you had gotten 2 burritos, the charge would have been the same unless the one was more than $5.

And then the additional charges for additional services.

Comes across to me that you just wanted to play with a new app.

Honestly, no, I wouldn't pay that for just one meal.

There are burritos that are worth more than $15; the ones from Chipotle are not in that category. I like Chipotle, but a lot of that is because I can come up with something I like that's reasonably healthy for less than $10 out the door.

I watched a Youtube uploaded by a UBER EAT driver, how he goes back picking up orders and delivering them.
Many do not tip, they figure they have paid for delivery, others tip very little, but he showed a $5 bill when he delivered pizza to a group and how much he appreciates that tip.
(PIZZA joints add delivery to the price of pizza,so the customer would tip the driver but the drivers work for the pizza joint)

The biggest complaint I hear from CMG loyals is that there is not enough meat.
And now they are complaining when they order online and pickup at the lane, they notice the portion is smaller.
