I don't think I'd really like living like many people did in the past when they lived in small towns where everyone knew every move one made.

There are still places like that, where people pay attention to what time someone down the street headed for town, and most likely they'll know why they went into town.

Technology has been around for a long time, cell phones are just another stage of telephones, but who really wants to go back to party lines where people could entertain themselves by picking up the phone and listening in?

And it had to be lonely in the past, such as during WWII where people didn't hear from their loved ones, and mail took a long time to be delivered from other parts of the world, now they can Skype and send text messages clear across the world and stay close.
