You know, I am not certain when I can swing it financially, but, I have see some older Model 21 Winchesters online, particularly appealing to me is a 20 gauge with double triggers. I really prefer double triggers on a double gun - they (virtually) never malfunction, and to me they are more intuitive than a selectable single trigger for those odd times when a bird is flying towards you rather than away, or flushes "out" where the tighter choked barrel is the one you want.

That said, I would not thumb my nose at a Browning Superposed just because they only were built with single (selectable) triggers. Provided I could get a "deal" on one.

I much prefer English styled SxS to anything American. A Model 21 is a good gun, but it will feel “clubby” compared a classic game gun. Some very good deals are available on older English guns, and the Spaniards do a great job with that style of gun as well.

Look for something with 28-30” barrels, straight grip, and splinter forend. Should weigh in the neighborhood of 6 lbs. (rule of 96). An English gun will likely have a 2.5” chamber, which is perfectly acceptable. Factory ammo is available, and making 2.5” cases is easy.

Give one a try, and you won’t look back.

I told my wife I had enough guns. Maybe some new optics, or the new Ruger 22 Wrangler.

Going to buy a M&P Shield EZ 380. I rented one and it’s a really nice pistol to shoot, great trigger, very minimal recoil and accurate. A Black Friday special for about $350 with safety glasses, a pistol bag and hearing protection.

Next “gun”? As in only one gun? Hahaha.....the next gun I want is a pocket pistol, shotgun, 45/70 lever gun, AR-15. Change my mind often so so far haven’t gotten any.

Wife asks why I need another gun. Tell her I don’t NEED another gun. I WANT another gun.

When my wife asks why I need another gun, I ask her why do you need another pair of shoes? Then I just savor the silence

I really like the 45/70 cartridge. With that said i use a. DropBlock Ruger Model #1 to develop loads, its strong as a old bank vault.I then use the developed loads in my Marlin Guide gun for. bear and moose.
Think about those two guns.

Why not develop loads in the gun in which they’ll be shot?
