Occasionally I get into the urge of buying a gun, but figuring out what to buy next is a problem. I needed to mentally go through the guns I already have, then identify the gap, and decide if I want to fill in that gap. I say "want' because we are long pass the "need" phase.
Troubles is, my mind wonders when going through a mental inventory of guns I already have and usually take a detour and get side tracked.
So, I thought it would be fun to share what's on your buying list and WHY?
Either a Ruger PCC-9 or a .357 lever gun (haven't decided which one). Looking for a carbine/pistol combo to go with either my Ruger American 9mm or my Security Six. I'd prefer to go the .357 route but the 9mm is a little cheaper.
1. 20 gauge Shockwave. saw one on Arms List. why? $200.
2. another Beretta CX4. wife wants her own. Christmas?
3. Springfield Hellcat, but we will wait a while on that.
I have to add to my WW2 milsurp collection and the only vacancy in that for battle rifle is a French MAS36 (I know the jokes - barely used, only dropped once).
Also there was a 10mm discussion in this forum the other month and also I am re-watching Miami Vice reruns. Since a BrenTen is not really practical I am thinking an EAA Witness 10mm.
Let's see what else - US military surplus colt .45 that was released by US government through CMP, but they are sold out. Maybe more released next year.
Sig Sauer P365 also has me intrigued but it's sort of redundant to what I already have in my aresenal.
Then I meant to start focusing my collection on US specific military weapons, starting with the Trapdoor, then Krag rifle.
I am also thinking accessories and associated regulatory paperwork for them - i.e. silencer for my scorpion, maybe also SBR it.
You know, like hunting game, I just prowl the gun shops and ads in magazines, online, and go after whatever I think is a "deal". A lot of my guns are redundant with each other, I really don't care about that. I don't have a rifle heavier than 300 H&H or .348 Winchester, outside of my 45-70 1886. There is room in the lineup for a .375 H&H I think. Probably another pre-64 Model 70. I got 2 Lyman 48 sights, one is going on my 300, the other one is chilling out on top of my desktop computer where I can look at it. Probably it will go on a .375 when I get one.
One I have my eye on is a Remington pump .22 at a local gun shop. I have always liked them for whatever reason. Would like to get a .22 Walther PP or PPK, these are back in production, but the old ones are still out there, although selling for more than the new ones.

I'm good until the Colt Mk 1 Laser Blaster hits the market.
