Pretty sure someone on the Madison Planning Commission has stated that a few times.

The Shopping Center Group has posted a "Possible Conceptual Plan" for their prime real estate located at the intersection of CLR and Madison Blvd. This property has frontage on Madison Boulevard, but a majority is on the east side of CLR.

Conceptual Plan doesn't mean anything official, obviously, but it is nice to see a vision. Looks like they visualize at least one big-box style retailer moving in. Again, this is a concept - they could throw in 10 mattress stores and 20 nail spas.

Side note - the corner of the property must be owned by someone else. Anyone know what's going on with that?

Anyone driven by the Sycamore Row site recently? I heard there's construction equipment on site.

Thank goodness. I've had to drive a few hundred feet farther to get to a dry cleaner and nail salon!

As was noted at the Madison city council meeting last night, everybody makes fun of the number of nail salons and mattress stores, but they collect sales tax which funds every city service we have.

I understand, I just see it as 50 people would split between 5 salons today or 50 people would split between 6 salons today. No new sales tax. Having new or unique options would increase sales tax dollars in Madison.

Anyone know what's going on west side of CLR by the I565 service road? It looks like they're clearing ground for something. Also, the lot adjacent to it, where it used to have outdoor fireplace displace, is dismantling its building and clearing its ground as well.

Are y'all SURE that construction next to JCHS is going to be a Wendy's? It looks like a pretty small/narrow building...
