So, it looks like:

"Sorry, MitchMZ, wait your turn in the quota backlog or move to Thailand [a third-world country]."

Quite a mixed message from those you may have thought were looking out for you. Why should someone have to wait to legally immigrate because of illegal aliens? How would it make you feel to have a "immigration moratorium" or a quota system that would quickly backlog to years when legally immigrating your wife?

Exactly...

Of course, it isn't right to have to make those waiting to legally migrate here wait because of the millions of illegal aliens here but whose fault is that? It is the fault of our government and the illegals themselves. Simple solution to that is that our government needs to deport illegal aliens to make room for those waiting to do it the right way. I assume you're not for that though are you? If not, then you or anyone else that doesn't like that solution shouldn't be complaining about the difficulty of migrating here legally then.

You cannot move in 15 million people without jobs to support them... as it is, there already aren't enough jobs for millions of Americans and yet we are still immigrating people into the country... ironic isn't it...

No one is saying that.

As long as it's not green card fraud, immigration because of marriage to an American citizen will bring in a limited number of immigrants. These immigrants because of marriage to an American citizen will most likely assimilate into American culture, and as long as the American citizen has the means to support the spouse, the immigrant should not become a taxpayer burden.

Now bringing in boatloads or boxcars of immigrants because they'll work cheap when falling and stagnant wages and high unemployment are major problems makes no sense at all.

Immigration should be limited to immediate spouse and minor children and to work sponsored immigrants but not to increase the unemployment rates of Americans or to bring wages down to rock bottom.

Immigration should be less just about money and instead allowing for people who truly want to be part of the American people, those who want and have the ability to learn the language, the culture, people who want to and are able to fit in.

Obviously the premise was an attempt to yank our chain. We already have 15 million who can't find jobs. Imagine the economy gains enough strength that all of them, plus the already unemployed, are put to work. Within 20 years the new immigrants would exceed those already here.

But they are. I count at least four separate opinions to stop legal immigration or without classifications that would cover MitcHMZ's wife in a timely manner (greater than a ten year wait). Another four minimum seem to be in agreement with those desires. You can't have it both ways - The scenarios offered would affect her.

And to suggest otherwise is not being truthful...

Thank you!

We would not have an “immigration” problem if not for massive illegal immigration. Illegal aliens, greedy corporations, and the governments of the U.S. and Mexico have created this mess.
