Little one near Marina del Rey. Felt it in El Segundo, but only a bump.

Apropos of the last few posts:

Info for Eq ci15333497

"A minor earthquake occurred at 7:52:18 PM (PDT) on Friday, April 26, 2013.
The magnitude 3.2 event occurred 2 km (1 miles) NE (39 degrees) of Los Angeles Airport, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 13 km ( 8 miles)."

Info for Eq 15334521

"A micro earthquake occurred at 8:06:19 PM (PDT) on Sunday, April 28, 2013.
The magnitude 2.8 event occurred 2 km (1 miles) NE (39 degrees) of Los Angeles Airport, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 12 km ( 8 miles)."

These two minor/micro quakes occurred in the same place, two days apart. They are approaching the vicinity of the Newport-Inglewood fault zone. Were these quakes actually N-I fault activity? Or a possibly uncharacterized blind thrust fault? Or as mentioned by Mashi in post #83, related to fracking?

I'm sure there are several good earthquake sites but I'm been using this USGS/Caltech-associated site: Southern California Earthquake Data Center - Recent Earthquakes for Los Angeles

Quite a bit of activity in San Bernardino County.

Anything under a 6 is fun! Anything under a 4 is not worth mentoring. I like quakes in the mid 5 range the best- enjoy the ride but minimal damage and no injuries.
