You didn't get Vega's sarcasm.

No. After his previous math faux-pas’ it is perfectly appropriate to assume he once again just mangled numbers without a thought.

Not if you had read the sentence AFTER the one that included a number.

There are still some inconsiderate people refusing to stay inside, they continue to go out ans do not wear gloves, or a mask. They behave as though there is no pandemic. This is mostly teens and people in their 20s...but I also see some older people doing this as well.

I read it all. And, consistent with most of Vega’s posts, it was nonsense ... worthy of retort.

Think that was sarcasm too? After a few posters called him on it (the death toll from swine flu was just under 12,500) he hasn’t been back to inform us it was sarcasm anyway ... but he has followed with today’s flub.

Unfortunately, I've been reading his posts long enough to recognize any attempts at sarcasm.

Don't be a wiseguy. I have no problem with you choosing not to wear a mask for your own protection. As I have said to others, you do you and breathe deeply when you are out.

However, the problem is if you happen to be near someone and infect them. You could end up causing their death. Maybe, maybe not.

At least don't be cavalier with other people's lives.
