Front yard larger than back yard. I've seen them do it. Cops familiar with the neighborhood would know about parking availability. Most out-of-state plates in Los Angeles belong to people making visits to families and friends they're not supposed to. If Patrolman is out there, he can add his two cents. Maybe parking enforcement can be used to place notices about forbidden visits on cars from outside the area.

Great - and since the looting has disappeared, there isn't much else for cops to do, and they'll be there.

This really is why the virus is just tearing through the US . Waiting for a vaccine is ridiculous at this point.. this is why the virus is so much less rampant in Europe, people aren't so selfish and they did and DO what is good for the greater good , not just thinking of themselves like so many Americans do , evidenced in this thread
So everyone should circle the bowl while holding hands in unison? I think a lot people are full of ****.
If it came to you or them... the majority of the people would throw you under the bus in a heartbeat.
You want 98 percent of the population to give up their dreams and ambitions and suffer for a very small percentage of high risk citizens. People need to start using their heads... rather than their hearts. It’s a nice sentiment, but that and 5 bucks will get you a crummy cup of coffee from Starbucks.

( You.... used in the general).

Not in the EU no they would not . Most here at CD know I lived there ( non military ) for some years . The mindset is totally different .
The mindset here is alot like yours , scared and selfish.

"Giving up their dreams and ambitions" is one of the most dramatic things I have heard in awhile lmao !

I don't not think wearing a mask and social distancing for awhile is going to hurt anyone . They may even LIVE To see their dreams and ambitions come true ...

That's a non-response. I think it's more that you dislike what I said and want to dismiss it and close your mind to others' arguments.

No, way off. Anyway, there was no-name calling toward anyone here (although the name fits at least one male regular). "Covidiots" is a popular term. There's no reason to attempt to answer questions that are a mix of unanswerable and "as soon as possible." Obviously government isn't going to declare bankruptcy or otherwise walk away and let the virus do its thing. When the public wakes up to maximum, enforced cooperation as the only realistic, prompt way out of the pandemic, things will steadily improve.

Then why do they have "protect and serve" on their doors?

You’re willing to destroy the economy and people’s lives over a virus that may or may not kill perhaps 2% of the population, with a 98% recovery rate? Where is the logic in that? Do people need to feed their families, pay their bills, get their kids educated? Dose the government not need to collect taxes ? ( they just gave away trillions) how is this sustainable? Be honest now. What’s the dateline for “ getting a handle “ on the virus. How long can we do this? 6 months? 1 year? two? 10? How long can the government subsidize the people? How long can people not work? What happens when the government says sorry folks we can no longer afford to subsidize the people nor their health care?
You have people running around signing Kumbaya and meanwhile.... Rome is burning.
I’ll say it AGAIN: I didn’t express my opinion. I made an observation about your assumption of the popularity of others’ opinions. Whether you like it or whether I like it (or not) - the overwhelming majority of Americans do not agree with you.

And by the way, if the economy is reopened as you wish, ‘Rome’ will burn anyway because so many people will be sick and off work and crashing the health care system ... which will tend to drive almost everyone away from public and retail venues out of fear.

So, one way the economy suffers but fewer people fall ill ... and the other way the economy suffers because nearly everyone becomes ill.

And I still haven’t expressed my personal opinion. Just making a scientific observation.

I see you're starting to use imagination to come up with ways. Parking enforcement are civilians, their so called "notice" is not worth the paper it's printed on. Patrolman needs reasonable justification of a crime and just seeing cars parked even if out of state do not constitution a crime.

Also i do real estate for living and if you think that many homes have much large front yard compare to backyard, you clearly haven't been to big homes in Socal.

It do not work that way, police department will decide to what they respond. In SF, SFPD will not respond to any non criminal call. Instead they will send "unarmed professional".

Name calling may be not nice ... but the validity of arguments is not found in ‘niceness’.

The same is true of arguments made by political ideologues ... ideologies aren't a factor in logical correctness ... they are incidental.

A democratic socialist (or a fascist or an anarchist or a communist or a libertarian, or right wing nut job or a plumber or a pig farmer or ... anyone) could well argue any number of true things while being insulting as hell ... and still be correct.
