This isn't really slang, but one term I really recall is "fraternization". Corporate America extends it mainly to "office romances" but that wasn't the case in the military. It was the idea that you really couldn't be "friends" with those subordinate to you because they may choose not to obey your directives, balk at your authority, if they carried you back to quarters last week, because you were too drunk to walk, etc. Becoming too close to your subordinates undermined your own authority, and so was frowned upon.

That's not slang but an actual official term. And actually it stands for "Temporary Duty Assignment" (so why isn't it "TDA?" Because it's the military. What you expected it to make sense?).
I would add:
"wtfo" - yes folks that originated w/the military
"hua" (made famous by Al Pacino in "Scent of a Woman")
PS: "cover" is a Navy thing. The AF doesn't use it
1) Junk on the bunk. Field gear and uniforms displayed for inspection.
2) Rack. What you slept on. A bunk in other branches of the service.
3) Grunt. Marine infantryman.
4) Back in the world. Home. USA.
5) Beacoup. From the French, much or many.
