Most recent African immigrants have no connection to the indigenous black population in the U.S. other than superficial features such as skin color and hair. On average, recent African immigrants out-earn even native born Amercian whites. They are not dumb.
But this batch of African immigrants seems to be the bottom of the barrel. As someone pointed out, City Hall is not the place to go for a Federal immigration document. Well, at least they know what a green card is, and at least they didn't riot.

Bruh. How exactly do you think humans survive on earth? Things just magically appear? This is a commonly held belief among the handout crowd in NYC. That there are tons of resources and they deserve a piece just because they exist.
Existing as a human doesn’t entitle one to anything. Merely existing on this earth is a burden. One has to produce in order to bring something of value.

NYC politicians are very good at getting people on the handout train and many never come off nowadays. That’s the game.

About 1,300 African migrants gathered outside City Hall Tuesday morning hoping to appear at a hearing on the black experience in the city shelter system — with some saying they were promised work visas or green cards if they showed.
Only 250 people were allowed inside for the 10 a.m. hearing, while the hundreds of others who flocked downtown were left outside in a park, where footage showed them chanting and cheering.
After reading the article, I will say that your thread title is extremely misleading. The title of the thread implies that they were falsely led to believe that they were being granted green cards on the spot at City Hall.
Several migrants interviewed said that they were told that City Hall could help them with getting one, not to simply just go down there and pick them up. The title of this thread is misleading as hell. Why did you make the title of the thread have nothing to do with the article?
