Liberal is unknown, but politics are generally respected as your own.

If you are interested in science fiction or fantasy, even just the media version, check it out. I think you'd enjoy it.
I'm not generally into either of those things, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out. Thanks for mentioning it, Nightbird.

Like I said SocialKate, find a place where you have educated people and you will find lots of liberals.

Yet so many liberals never seem to live up to that, especially these days. You show your ignorance by flaunting your education(if you even have any)and using it against people like you are smarter than thou. Get over yourself.

So you are fine thinking this miserable life is it?? Seeing that you haven't attended college yet you must be young and therefore think that you are invincible and you will never grow old and die.

How can a person be "smarter than themselves"? Did you actually read the definition of "liberal" or did you just gloss over it on your way to making insults?

Why don't you just move to OKC if it meets your needs? With a metro area population of over 1.2 million persons you're sure to find your niche. You know better than I that OKC is rather conservative. You'll be in a minority given your stated views. Perhaps you enjoy that role. Given half a chance I think you'll see that most folks are as "open minded" as you are.

This is America- a free country. Move to OKC and live your life.

ERISAJunkie, I wasn't particularly asking for permission to move or anything like that. In fact, finding like-minded individuals will not make or break my move to OKC. I am moving there to be closer to family and pursue a PhD. However, finding people who share my common interests makes life more enjoyable and also helps me grow as a person.

So thank you for your advice and responding to my post.

I'm not sure about you (although I suspect), but my life is anything but miserable. You make assumptions in your post that are incorrect and based on a generalization. Shall I correct you? Or allow your worldview to stay intact? Your choice.

Either way, does it really matter what any of us think? Will this forum post make or break either of us? Probably not. So let's live and let live, shall we?
