Is this really a story on the WOWT webpage?

Holiday Mixology

They are telling you that alcohol is not healthy, but mixing it with juice is a better option. Wow.
Yeah I saw that. I'm "Joey" on that blog BTW. I posted that link there, I couldn't believe it either. They were actually talking about how mixing it with juice is a better option if you are trying to watch the calories. .

pheaton, I am begining wonder if some of the reporters/folks at wowt and the omaha world herald

have a contest of who is more clumsy and dumber in the local media.

cause I dont believe this stupidity by some at the omaha world herald and at wowt is by accident anymore.

I think you are right. When these guys do something totally dumb they just laugh and laugh, or J-Pa makes some random comment totally not pertaining to the situation at hand and they laugh some more until finally they the clock runs out and they are cut off mid laugh.

One time, the final comment was, "oh look we finished on time" only to have the ensuing laughter get cut off because they were in fact out of time.

i believe u are right. I dont believe it is by accident. this attention seeking by some at wowt is tuning people out.

I know catch kmtv 3 sometimes cause I become addicted to channel 3.2 aka Cool TV

at least at ketv, the worst any reporter seems to do is say "paint it red, baby".

speaking of the local media: anyone noticed that kptm dont have a saturday night newscast anymore at 9 pm.

Action3News's website is riddled with grammatical errors. Is it worth it to start writing to them to let them know?

You could write them. But it likely won't make a difference. I've heard pretty much all of the news stations (maybe not KETV) have interns basically running the enitre behind the scenes production instead of having a staff that is actually experienced and knows how to produce a quality show. Somewhere along the line the concept of spelling and grammar lost it's association with professional news. I realize my grammar isn't that great, but I don't claim to be a professional organization responsible for delivering accurate and relevant information to the public.

This story is physically painful to read. The incomplete sentences and poor use of punctuation make me feel like I'm just learning to read.

Follow the Recall Money

When people write exactly how they speak, it's difficult to read.

What are you expecting? I think 3, 6, 7 are all about equal, to be honest. I don't see one as being better than the others. Compared to what I've seen in other cities, it's fairly typical. It's a 30 minute show geared toward people that don't know how to or don't want to use the internet to get their news. Those people like seeing human beings reading the news, and like the little banter they see back and forth among them.
