Are Newport, Lincoln City, Florence, Coos Bay, etc liberal?

The cities you've listed aren't particularly liberal.

You could say that Coos Bay is more conservative than Newport but, like moparjer stated, none are particularly liberal. Mostly they're just live and let live.

Depends on your definition of Liberal. Lincoln City and Newport are more Liberal then Florence and Coos Bay, but all are less liberal then Ashland, Eugene or Portland.

Default Rule of thumb for "liberalness"

The distance of a town from I-5 will decrease its "Liberalness".

Honestly, outside of the Willamette Valley (and the bit around Ashland) you will find tolerant, but conservative in most areas. Some places perhaps not so tolerant.

Check voting records by county for a gauge.

The Oregon Coast with the exception of the far north Astoria area is very much Trump Territory.

Some very un-informed answers. Yes, check the voting records. Lincoln county is a mini Portland, politically. Been here 25 years.

Incorrect. Lincoln County voted 51% for Clinton to 41% for Trump. Trump didn't have any remarkable amount of support on the Coast, except for the South Coast. Coos County and Curry County.

Regardless of how people on the Coast vote, nobody really talks about it much. Politics here is a private matter.

Yeah, there weren't near the number of Hillary bumperstickers that there were for Obama.

All up and down the coast, voters vote down tax measures and will not support social welfare and social engineering programs. Sorry, but if you want that liberal agenda, you must move to the areas where the Californians have moved to en masse.

You want to pay for art taxes, bike lane taxes, and programs to stop people from owning cars or making a living, then go to Portland, Eugene, or maybe Ashland.

Oregon is a conservative state with incomers agenda being forced on it.
