Yesterday at the Arboretum and Botanical Garden. It's quite beautiful there.

Photo taken on Nov 9th of Church's Pond. I hope it won't need to be renamed as Church's puddle

Any pics of rural Nevada in Fernley, Fallon area?
Dayton?
Ely, Mustang, Lovelock and Elko?
I am interested in the rural northern residential areas that have no traffic signals.
Don't want any more long lines at stores, banks and hospitals etc.
No traffic, gridlock, tailgaters, "highway violence" per California Highway Patrol (aka: ROAD RAGE) and lots of available parking where you don't have to worry about people shooting others over parking spaces.
Tired of suburb and city life.

Beautiful pics of Reno. The thing that is odd to me is that there are hardly any pedestrians anywhere in all the pics. Is Reno usually this deserted in the daytime? Pics of most towns, S.F., Las Vegas, etc. have lots of pedestrians. These pics of Reno have almost none, even in parks, libraries, outside restaurants and casinos, etc.

People are constantly out and about here. One thing about Reno that impresses me is the high interest level that many of the locals have for outdoor activities and exercise -- I see more folks outside here than other places I've lived in the East and Midwest. It seems like there is always someone walking, running or biking in my neighborhood. It could be that the photographer of those photos just waited until the streets were clear to take photos. If he or she is like my spouse, they will wait patiently as long as necessary (and much longer than I would prefer!) just to get a clear shot.

Default High desert in full bloom

Saw these flowers during a walk on the government lands near Reno about two weeks ago. Now, if I could only get at least some of them to grow in my yard!
