For beef, if it's not pink, it's overdone. I've found it almost impossible to overcook lamb. It remains tasty regardless of doneness.

We like her foolish threads. It’s fun to watch it all unravel into a puddle of nonsense.

Keep in mind that others may laugh at how foolish the question is when we are all warm, fat, and comfortable......but it can be a whole different ballpark when we aren't. After all, Chris McCandless made some crucial mistakes with his diet (and other mistakes, too, probably) and it killed him.

I read that book & as I remember he killed a moose & didn't know how to butcher & field dress it, plus couldn't identify which native vegetation was safe to eat.

You know, you don't need MEAT to survive. You can learn to bake bread in a dutch oven, dried beans & legumes & rice don't spoil & will nourish you for a long time.

I prefer meat overdone rather than underdone, actually I dont like Beef that much, I prefer Pork and Chicken and Mutton not Lamb and game meat when I can get it.

When and if the time comes we may be more than pleased with half-alive and raw, eaten while trying to outrun our dawg.

Then you’d best solve the thermometer problem.
